Go to the WordPress Control Panel, and under Options / Write, turn OFF the wysiwyg editor. Then get the YouTube code snippet for the video you want, paste it into the posting and post it. After you post, go back and turn wysiwyg editing back on.

Thanks Alec. I’ve tried that, or something very close. I’ve also followed some arcane “hop on left foot while holding breath and humming God Bless America” sort of approach. I suspect it’s not just a WP issue, but also tied to the theme in use. I don’t use the WP editor, so that likely won’t help. If I had to use the WP editor, I’d change blog platforms. Ah well, I’ll either stumble across something that works or not. Thanks!
