Another Nokia N93 Tripod-mounted Video Test

This evening I mounted the N93 on a regular photographer’s tripod and stood talking to the camera. Shot at best quality, it’s really a test to see how it captures my motion (I’m not one to sit still) and how it might work in the environments described in the video.

More than adequate for sharing on the internet. The microphone is great.

I agree with you about being animated, I don’t like the whole sitting in a chair talking to a camera thing. I don’t get that sense of conversation I do when standing in front of a real person.

Have fun video podcasting! Hope you have a 2 GB memory card.

I agree about the mic. The sound pickup on the N93 is phenomenal, and doesn’t get mentioned much. I’ve actually got several 2G cards. I carry multiple 1 and 2 G MiniSDs the way you desribed in your post earlier. Extras can pop into anything I need with the adapter. Nikon D50 and Treo use full size and Nokias use the Mini. I’m set.

Although, now I’m on a quest for a single purpose decent tripod to put that Nokia head on that can also handle my D50. My regular tripod is one I’d like to only take on photo expeditions and all my little tabletop stuff kinda sucks with the D50.

A friend had one of those at ETel last week. I’ll probably grab one of those, but that’s not what I want right now. I want something with a decent pan head for tilt and pan video and the GorillaPod doesn’t really have the control I’m looking for. Very coll tripod though that meets another set of needs really well.
